Vantage Pro weather station
From Davis, the producers of the excellent Weather
Monitor and Weather Wizard range, the Vantage Pro
weather stations are available as either wireless or
cable-connected systems.
(The wireless systems feature
simple installation and up to 250metres broadcast
range, (typically 150metres), so sensors can be
placed where they are most useful. Repeaters to
increase this range up to 1.5Km can also be purchased
as accessories. )
The neat 90x150mm LCD panel display
shows all measured parameters, with some constantly
displayed and others selectable from function keys.
The display console may be powered from an AC
adaptor (supplied) or will run for up to 12 months
from 3x “C” cells (not supplied) for true remote operations.
Standard configuration
with the innovative “Integrated sensor suite” all-in-
one instrument pack allows the following parameters
to be monitored and displayed:
Barometric pressure;
Inside air temperature;
Outside
air temperature;
Dew point;
Wind direction & speed;
Inside & outside humidity;
Heat index;
Rainfall, including statistical records by minute, hour, day, month and
year;
Time & date;
Sunrise & sunset;
Moon phase;
Wind chill;
Heat index;
Alphanumeric scrolling display offers a simple forecast with over 40 different
pre-set forecast messages.
Additional sensors for Solar radiation and UV allow additional parameters to be
monitored, including:
Solar radiation intensity;
Temp-Humidity-Sun-Wind index;
Evapotranspiration;
UV Index;
UV Dose.
