Pricing and Specification Policy
It is our policy to maintain the most competitive prices and the most
up-to-date
products across our range. Specifications and prices may change from those shown
here without notice. We buy products from all over the world and so prices may
also be affected by currency fluctuations. We are happy to confirm prices and
specifications at the time of order, and will contact you for instructions
before order dispatch if we receive an order where the product price or
specification is not as ordered. We may require a non-refundable deposit for
bespoke or non-standard items. Although we take every care in producing this
catalogue, we cannot be held responsible for any errors or omissions. E & O E.
Editions
Except where otherwise specified, current editions of charts and
publications will be dispatched, as available at the time of order. Advance
orders can be taken for forthcoming editions, please specify if this is your
requirement. We accept no responsibility for delay in shipment due to
publication delays.
Returns Policy
We want you to be fully satisfied with any product you purchase from AFE. If
you are
dissatisfied with an item you purchase from this website it may be returned to
us within 7 days for a full refund, replacement or exchange, provided it is
unused and returned in its original packaging. Computer software and videos are
excluded from this service (except if faulty, in which case they will be
exchanged). Items supplied to special order or to a non-standard specification
by customer request are also excluded from this service. There may be a
re-packing/inspection fee for the return of certain items of safety and survival
equipment.
VAT
All prices on this website include UK VAT at 17•5% where applicable. To
compare
our prices against a ‘VAT exclusive’ price, divide the VAT inclusive figure by
1.175
e.g. £399.50 / 1•175 = £340.00.
We dispatch goods ‘VAT free’ to addresses outside the EU, and can invoice goods
‘VAT
free’ to non-UK, EU businesses who supply their full EU VAT number with order.
Same Day Dispatch
Your order is important to you and important to us. Our aim is to dispatch
same day
all in-stock orders received before 15:00, Monday – Friday.
UK Delivery
AFE deliveries to UK addresses are by 1st class post, or DHL Omega for high
value orders and those weighing over 1kg. Our monitoring indicates that 90% of
deliveries arrive the next working day (i.e. Monday to Friday, excluding Bank
Holidays) and 99% arrive within two working days. DHL Omega require a
signature for delivery, if this is not possible a delivery card will be left
with contact
details to arrange delivery. Deliveries to offshore addresses and those in
remote
areas may take longer than average. Note however that, while we always make
every effort to deliver promptly, and will make every reasonable effort to
resolve any problems caused by late or failed deliveries, UK and EU law allows
mail-order facilities up to 30 days for delivery and any claim for default can
not be considered within that 30 day
period.
Overseas Delivery
For non-UK deliveries, an insurance cover charge of £2.95 will be added to
orders in excess of £75 value for comprehensive insurance. Claims must be
received within 45 days of goods dispatch.
Shipping Charges
Shipping will be charged according to the currently displayed schedule of
charges, appropriate to the preferred shipping method selected by the buyer. The
carriage charge shown in any order confirmation may be merely the standard
minimum charge. This will be the case if the site is unable, for technical
reasons, to calculate the exact carriage charge. In these circumstances, this
will be made clear on the order confirmation and the appropriate charge will be
applied during order-processing. The buyer accepts that the carriage charged may
exceed the minimum carriage, but will be no greater than displayed in the
current schedule of charges. This schedule will be available for reference prior
to order, and will be made accessible during the checkout process. The buyer is
deemed to have accepted these charges and will have no grounds to reclaim
carriage charges which are made in accordance with the displayed schedule.
Items to be returned will be shipped at the buyer's expense and risk. We
strongly advise that high value or delicate items should be sent via by
appropriately insured and tracked carrier. In some agreed circumstances we may,
at our discretion, reimburse carriage costs so incurred, by way of credit note
to the customer's account.

We an offer a full parachute repacking service using fully qualified

We can recharge your oxygen cylinder while you wait (please call ahead to
confirm qualified staff availability), and can also have your oxygen bottle

We can offer a repair service for a wide range of radios, glider avionics
and headsets.

Liferaft and lifejacket servicing
Lifejackets and liferafts should be serviced at least once a year to
maintain their effectiveness – after all they could be called on to save a life!
We can have your lifejacket or liferaft serviced at a JAR145 facility, please
allow a minimum of four weeks turnaround. Further details, please contact our
