AFE is one Europe's largest General Aviation publishers. Our activities include aviation publishing, UK and international mail-order sales, retail pilot shops and trade distribution to airlines, air forces, operators and Flight Training Organisations worldwide.

We are looking for enthusiastic and ambitious aviation-minded individuals to join the friendly teams both at our head office close to Manchester Airport and at our Oxford Airport operation. The basic job descriptions are outlined below and we invite applications from anybody who would like to play a part in our future growth and development.

In all positions a good telephone manner, fluency in English, basic computer literacy and a willingness to 'muck in' when circumstances demand it are required, together with an attitude that regards the needs of our customers as paramount and a positive, flexible 'can-do' outlook.

As an aviation company we offer particularly good prospects for those seeking a career in aviation, and we may be able to offer flight training and flying qualifications assistance to suitable individuals.

Except where stated all these positions are full time, based on a notional 37.5 hour week, nevertheless we may consider applications for part-time working from suitably qualified applicants.

Job Title:	Shop/Office Manager - Oxford Airport Pilot Shop
Job Description:	As Manager of our busy Oxford Airport Pilot Shop, you will need enthusiasm, a practical hands-on approach and excellent organizational skills. You will have responsibility for maintaining an attractive and ergonomic sales area, managing stock, assisting customers, sales order processing and basic administration. Experience of retail sales would be highly advantageous.  It would also be useful to be computer literate, although training will be given in our computerised systems. Excellent interpersonal skills and a helpful telephone manner are essential as the job involves dealing with our customers and suppliers worldwide.   AFE, established in 1973, is one Europe's largest General Aviation suppliers. Our activities include aviation publishing, UK and international mail-order sales, retail pilot shops and trade distribution to airlines, air forces, operators and Flight Training Organisations worldwide.
Salary:	£15,000 to £18,000 per annum depending on experience
Working Hours:	Monday to Friday and occasional Saturdays. This is a full-time position, but part time may be considered for a suitable candidate
Contract:	Permanent
Holidays:	28 days inc Bank Holidays
