AFE has built its business on the concept of same-day dispatch for all in-stock items and its a standard we hold to today. All orders received on a weekday before 2:00pm (UK local time) are fast-tracked for same-day dispatch for all in-stock items. If your order cannot be dispatched right away (for example, if an item is on forward order) we will contact you be e-mail with our anticipated dispatch date.
 
Unlike some companies in this field, AFE will NEVER charge your credit card until the goods are ready to leave our warehouse.*
 
AFE use a variety of delivery companies including Royal Mail, Parcleforce, Yodel and UPS. Again, unlike other companies in this field our carriage charges are competitive and proportionate and are set out below for you to see. For orders to UK Mainland addresses (excluding the far north Scottish highlands) delivery within 24-48 hours is the standard. Our monitoring indicates that 90% of deliveries arrive the next working day (ie Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays) and 99% arrive within two working days. Some delivery services require a signature for delivery, if this is not possible a delivery card will be left with contact details to arrange delivery. Deliveries to offshore addresses and those in remote areas may take longer than average. Note however that, while we always make every effort to deliver promptly, and will make every reasonable effort to resolve any problems caused by late or failed deliveries, UK and EU law allows mail-order facilities up to 30 days for delivery and any claim for default cannot be considered within that 30 day period.
 
Carriage will be charged according to the currently displayed schedule of charges, appropriate to the preferred shipping method selected by the buyer. The carriage charge shown in any order confirmation may be merely the standard minimum charge. This may be the case if the site is unable, for technical reasons, to calculate the exact carriage charge. In these circumstances, this will be made clear on the order confirmation and the appropriate charge will be applied during order-processing. The buyer accepts that the carriage charged may exceed the minimum carriage, but will be no greater than displayed in the current schedule of charges. This schedule will be available for reference prior to order, and will be made accessible during the checkout process. The buyer is deemed to have accepted these charges and will have no grounds to reclaim carriage charges which are made in accordance with the displayed schedule.
 
* for certain non-standard orders, a deposit or non-fundable payment may be taken at the time of order. In these instances we will inform you before taking the payment.
